Short link best practices

When you create a short link in your Menu Guide account, they remain part of your account forever.

This means that they can be reused. There is no need to create a new short link every time you create a new menu.

Reusing short links means you will have fewer links associated with your account. This means that, over time, it will make your account easier to use as having lots of short links in your account can be confusing.

A venue with multiple areas such as a sports stadium or conference centre should create geographic short links (for example ‘lounge-1’ or ‘lower-ground-restaurant’ etc.) These links can then be reused and menus can be activated as and when needed.

Advanced account users can personalise their short links. (e.g. mnu.mx/dishoom) This makes links easier to use and recognise. We recommend using this approach if available in your subscription.
