Menu expiry dates

Why to menus expire? #

All Menu Guide menus expire after a set period of time. This is a safety mechanism to prevent out-of-date allergen information appearing to the public.

Menu expiry overview #

When a menu is created or edited an expiry date is set for it automatically by Menu Guide.

The default duration for the expiry of your menus is controlled from the Manage Account section. This can be set from between one week to two months (default value).

When a menu approaches its expiry date an email is sent to you/your users reminding you the menu is about to expire and inviting you to renew/edit it.

If you don’t renew the menu it will expire naturally on the date stated in the My Menus section.

Renewing the expiry date on a menu #

There are currently several ways to renew the expiry date on a menu:

  1. Edit the menu.
  2. Click the ‘Renew’ link in the expiry email when it arrives.
  3. Cycle the active state checkbox against the menu in the My Menus section.
