Troubleshooting Steps: #
Check Your WiFi Connection #
Ensure your device is connected to a stable WiFi network to enable the QR code scanning process.
Verify Your Internet Connection #
Make sure you have an active internet connection as your QR code may require data to load content.
Check Firewall Settings #
Ensure that your firewall/antivirus settings do not block the scanning or loading of QR codes. Menu Guide uses the following domains to deliver the content. If your WiFi network has a firewall function you may need to whitelist the following domains to ensure that the menus work correctly:
- mnu.mx (routing)
- mnu.pro (routing)
- menuguide.pro and its subdomains (menu assets)
- use.fontawesome.com (icons)
- fonts.googleapis.com (fonts)
- fonts.gstatic.com (fonts)
- ajax.googleapis.com (styling)
Verify QR Code Colours and Sizes #
Check if the colours of the QR code are of a high enough contrast that they can be scanned by customers’ phones in different light levels. QR codes work best when they are black on a white background.
QR codes should be printed so the QR code itself is no smaller than 2cm wide.
